This is a portrait of Gord Downie, lead vocalist for The Tragically Hip.  The image is composed of lyrics to songs by the Tragically Hip, as well as songs from Downie's solo career, edited & arranged by Artist Nicholas Schleif in a way that forms a narrative expressing my connection to the artist's music.  

The lyrics in this piece are hand painted dot by dot to render Downie's likeness, dressed in the attire that made up his signature look, on stage doing what he did best - performing his art in front of his fans.
