For the Toronto Raptors pieces, I took inspiration from my childhood and teenage years playing basketball outdoors and what those settings and elements looked like, from the net to the background to the outdoor ball. My objective was to paint two figures in two contrasting urban environments that resemble and embody the City of Toronto and the young people whom one might see playing basketball at a park or school outside in the city.
