Dalia Elcharbini
Dalia Elcharbini is a Palestinian-Canadian contemporary artist based in Toronto. Her surreal works have been collected internationally, gracing international galleries and permanent collections across Canada, the United States, and the Middle East.
Her body of work is inspired by the cosmos, her heritage and philosophies like Taoism —advocating alignment with the rhythms of nature and the nurturing of a louder intuition— Dalia’s work transcend mere visual aesthetics’; they are a conduit to the human psyche, a transformative journey. She strives to awaken a heightened sense of awareness, inviting contemplation and introspection and elevating the viewer into a higher state of consciousness through her artworks.
Her primary mediums include oil, graphite, and the lustrous contrast of 24-karat gold leaf. Dalia employs a meticulous approach to her craft with the most premeditated aspect of her creative process is the study of light and its interplay with her compositions. This thoughtful examination of light and its role in the work is what gives her works a whimsical and multi-dimensional vitality when experienced in person.
